Description: We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 5 years experience with horses. Individual must know how to differentiate between horses, know how to properly handle horses, treat wounds, treat hooves, hold horses for the farrier and veterinarian, groom, wash, clean stalls and re-fill with shavings, administer feed to horses, exercise horses, train foals basic ground work (seasonal), must be familiar with stallion handling and proper horse care.
This individual must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license, pass a background check, a cell phone, provide a minimum of 5 references, their own transportation, current vehicle insurance in regulation with Florida law, have a minimum of a high school diploma but, a college degree in animal sciences or equine science is preferred. Individual must be drug and alcohol free and will be subject to random drug testing. Individual must have good communication skills and must be able to throughly explain to the client any specifics about their horse including, but not limited to, behavior, training, injuries, feeding, or treatment.
This job is a part-time job (20 hrs/wk) with full-time potential. It is preferred that the individual have knowledge and ability to train/instruct horses in both English or Western styles or a combination of both. This individual has an opportunity to make additional money through lesson instruction and horse training.
Salary/Hourly Wages: Minimum Wage - Additional unlimited income potential through lesson instruction ($40/hr) and horse training ($500+/horse/month). All inquiries on lessons and training will be referred to the employee.

cabins with their campers. This is an overnight camp. Free housing

with Western riding experience, though our camp offers English too.

Minimum age would be someone who has completed their freshman year in college.
Minimal horse experience: ability to walk and trot/jog, and being quite comfortable handling horses on the ground. The camp offers a ton of other fun activities for you to enjoy too!
